Synopsis

Mickey Rooney stars as Billy Coy, who arrives in California determined to become a champion driver like his late father, killed years earlier at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. Taken under the wing of his father's old mechanic (Thomas Mitchell), Billy's recklessness costs lives before he matures into a real racer. It features genuinely thrilling track photography.
